KIN Smoke | Our Story
A humble but bold offering to Healdsburg
KIN Smoke is a neighborhood barbecue destination in Healdsburg, founded by two hospitality veterans with a simple goal: great food, true BBQ, and a place where everyone feels at home.
The founders
JC Adams worked family delis and has called Sonoma County home since 1996. Brad Barmore spent decades cooking across California and New York City before bringing that experience north.
The craft
KIN doesn't follow one regional tradition — grilled or low and slow, beef or pork, the menu follows the food. What stays constant is real wood, real time, and a smoke ring that earns its place on every plate.
BBQ in wine country
Healdsburg is wine country, and KIN brings a different kind of craft — measured in hours on the smoker rather than months in the barrel. It's a pairing that makes more sense than it sounds.
A place to gather
Eater SF named KIN Smoke one of 11 essential North Bay barbecue spots, calling it a place where locals bring their kids — and it's easy to see why. Pull up a stool, order a platter, and stay a while.
